Correspondence, memoranda, minutes, constitution and bylaws, reports, newsletters and other printed material, newspaper clippings, and other records, dating primarily from Piet Jacob van der Leeuw's term (1965-1970) as president of the organization. Consists chiefly of van der Leeuw's correspondence and that of the association's secretary, Mario Montessori, pertaining primarily to the organization of scientific meetings and biennial congresses and to relations between the association and component organizations, especially in Latin America. Includes bylaws of the American Psychoanalytic Association; constitution of the Sigmund Freud-Gesellschaft, Vienna, Austria; minutes of various organizations, including the Sociedade Brasileira de Psicanálise do Rio de Janeiro; and reports of the psychoanalytical movement in Eastern Europe, France, and Latin America. Of special interest are reports on a dissident movement within Société de psychanalyse (Paris, France). Correspondents include Jacob A. Arlow, Helen Boxall, Anna Freud, Ernst L. Freud, William H. Gillespie, Avelino González, León Grinberg, Pearl King, Heinz Kohut, Rudolph M. Loewenstein, Maria C.
